I am having a great day!
I get to sit back and think about all of the great gifts I have been given this past year. It was about this time last year that I decided that this would be the year I make my mark; this would be the year that I do that one "Big Thing"; this would be the year that I went on my own Vision Quest. (as inspired by Louden Swain from the 80's movie Vision Quest)
I have to say...... this has been one H of a ride! I am so thankful for everyone in my life that has contributed and supported me in various ways. I am also thankful
for those people that aren't directly in my life that have inspired me and made me believe in myself. I am thankful to those people who I have learned from in order to make the journey a success. I am thankful to my critics for keeping my belly full of fire. I am mostly thankful to God for allowing this thing to go off without a hitch and helping me to find my genius in the gym!
A special mention to my DH, (Joey Bear)...... for kicking me in the arse when I started my stinkin' thinkin' and giving me all the love in the world combined with frequent pep talks. This man is of God, he definitely has the patience of a Saint! I hope to be able to quit testing his patience so much in the future. I really don't deserve him.
Another special mention to my mom for running a marathon after having been stuck in a wheel chair. I obviously got my tenacity from you! I don't accept "No" very easily, and hope you will be able to rise again very soon.
Of course, my little bambino, my favorite cheer leader, Caleb. I know I am not the most domestic mom that ever lived (probably farthest thing from it), but I hope you learned from me that you can achieve anything your heart desires! I know you will too!
Finally, I can't forget my dad...... Thanks for giving me some awesome genetics. I could never figure out what to do with these calves of mine........until now.
That's it for now,
~C.
(oh and thanks to Lizzy for pulling me up those hills)
